Queens Park Rangers manager Neil Warnock has confessed he fears the sack and can’t be 100% certain the club will keep him over the summer.
QPR’s Premier League promotion was confirmed before their 2-1 defeat to Leeds United when the FA decided not to deduct points from Rangers, but to just fine them £875,000.
Warnock said: “I’m not totally confident they will stick with me. It’s one of those things.
“Hopefully, my contract is watertight – and I’m sure my stock has not gone down. My wife would like me to retire shortly but she knows how much I wanted to manage in the Premier League,” he added.
QPR were found guilty of two charges regarding the signing of influential midfielder Alejandro Faurlin in 2009, but to the relief of everyone inside Loftus Road, there was no points deduction.
The case was concluded just hours before QPR kicked-off on the final day and were the tears of joy in the home dressing room.
Five other charges against the club, and one against chairman Gianni Paladini, were not proven.
