Faurlin: At the centre of the controversy

Queens Park Rangers have been hit with two Football Association charges and fined a total of £875,000.

An Independent Regulatory Commission confirmed on Saturday that action would be taken against the Championship club.

Seven charges were heard regarding Rangers’ registration of Alejandro Faurlin and the existence of an agreement between the capital club and a third party in respect of the player’s economic rights.

QPR also faced investigation for failing to notify the FA of that agreement before the player was registered to play in England in July 2009.
