Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini rates Carlos Tevez’s chances of playing in the FA Cup final as ’50-50′

Roberto Mancini is sweating on the fitness of Carlos Tevez ahead of the FA Cup final with Stoke but has rated his star striker’s chances of featuring as “50-50”.

The Argentine striker is suffering with a hamstring injury picked up against Liverpool last month but could still make an apperance against Stoke on Saturday May 15.

“I think it’s 50 per cent at the moment,” Mancini told reporters.

“It’s difficult to know now what is going to happen in the next week, I think that Carlos needs to train because it’s impossible to play without training.

“We have 10 days, I dont know, we are waiting these 10 days and we hope that he can recover.”

Mancini also insisted now was not the time to talk about the future and has distanced himself from any transfer rumours regarding Tevez.

The former Manchester United striker handed in a transfer request in January but later withdrew it, yet reports continue to circulate on whether or not he could leave the Eastlands this summer.

“It is no problem,” added Mancini. “Carlos has a contract with the club.

“Just now it is very important to think about the next 10 days because they are going to be very important for the club.

“We can speak about other things afterwards.”
