Silvio Berlusconi has given a reminder of the power he has had on AC Milan as he prepares for another Scudetto.

The Rossoneri need only a point from their trip to Roma on Saturday and they will be crowned champions.

Recent history has seen the club being swatted by city rivals Inter, but all that is expected to change, and Berlusconi is delighted.

“For Milan this will be trophy 27 added to the 26 trophies which have arrived during my time as president,” he told the program ‘Porta a Porta’.

“This has made Milan the club with the most trophies in the world and I am the president who has won more trophies than any other in the history of football.”

Berlusconi was eager to cover himself in gloss, and claimed his reign in power dwarfs even Real Madrid’s history.

“After me it’s Santiago Bernabeu of Real Madrid, and they named a stadium after him,” he concluded.
