Abuja — Former Super Falcons captain, Kikelomo Ajayi, has signed a three year contract with a German club side, Nerderkitcher FC. The former Bayelsa Queens player will join the team this summer.
According to a source close to the player, she will move to Germany to team up with her new club for the pre-season training immediately after the forthcoming FIFA Women World Cup to be hosted by Germany. “I can tell authoritatively that Kikelomo has signed for the German club. She would move over there immediately after the Women World Cup to be hosted by the Country. One funny thing is that the officials of the team did not believe that the Ondo State born Police Inspector is not a member of the Super Falcons team coming for the World Cup, because of her form. They wondered a lot” the source said.
When contacted, the player who had played in three World Cups confirmed the move, but preferred to remain mute over her non- invitation to the national team. She said that the invitation of players is the sole responsibility of the technical crew, but promised to honour national invitations whenever called upon.
