Iker Casillas tired of decisions against Real Madrid after Gonzalo Higuain’s disallowed goal in Champions League clash with Barcelona

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has revealed his dissatisfaction at Gonzalo Higauain’s disallowed goal in his side’s 1-1 second-leg draw with Barcelona as Jose Mourinho’s side bow out at the Champions League semi-final stage 3-1 on aggregate at the hands of its Clasico rivals.

“We have the memories of the game. A scoreless draw in the first-leg along with this 1-1 draw would have taken us through. Real Madrid had no inferiority complex. We played our way and the fans can be proud,” he told Spanish television shortly after the final whistle.

“We came to defend the honor of this club and this shirt. It was more than just another game for us. There is little else to say because of the consequences such as a suspension.”

The Spanish international admitted that his team were powerless after Higuain saw his first-half strike chalked off for a foul by Cristiano Ronaldo on Javier Mascherano.

“Higuain’s goal is nothing more. It was another decision against us, like always. We cannot do anything now but we were able to do our club proud,” he concluded.

Barcelona now move onto the high-profile European tournament’s final at Wembley later this month.
