Dhobley — Somali government official on Tuesday threatened that their forces will launch attacks against al Shabaab and confiscated the Jubba regions in southern Somalia within a week.
Mohamed Farah Dahir, the spokesman of Somali troops in Jubba regions, said in interview with Shabelle Media Network that Somali army in the region got ready to conclude combats with Al shabaab in those regions as soon as possible.
Mr. Dahir went on to say that government is committed to re-liberate the horn of African nation from the grip of the movement of Al shababaab which controls large swathes of southern and central Somalia.
Asked about two soldiers killed in the border town of Dhobley, the spokesman said that the deceased soldiers were planning to defect with their assault rifles and join to Al shabaab.
