29 April 2011 Luena — The Inspector of the General Attorney's Office, Joaquim Jeteio, Friday, in Luena (Moxico), considered money laundering and terrorism funding as problem that affects many countries all over the world. The lawyer made this statement while speaking at a workshop under the motto "prevention and combat against money laundering and terrorism support" under the legality week, adding that this "problem is affecting, mainly, developing societies". He explained that money laundering is an economic-finance practice aiming to hide the origin of the illicit financial assets or patrimonial goods.

Luanda — Various children living in Luanda’s Porto Pesqueiro suburb, Sambizanga district were vaccinated Friday against poliomyelitis by the United States of America’s ambassador to Angola, Christopher J. Mcmullen.

The move symbolises the solidarity shown by the American government in eradication of disease.

During the vaccination campaign, the US diplomat was accompanied by NGO Africare’s representatives, belonging to the group Core, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

The ongoing vaccination campaign, scheduled to end on 30 April, will cover neighbouring countries; Namibia, Zambia, DR Congo and Congo Brazzaville.

The Government of the United States of America released over USD 3 million to assist Angola in eradication of polio.
