Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar is expected to move away from the club this summer, with Italy or Spain the most likely destinations according to the player’s agent.

Kranjcar has found first team opportunities limited this season with the emergence of Gareth Bale and the signing of South African international Steven Pienaar.

Kranjcar’s agent, Adrian Aliaj, says that his player is loyal to the club but finds it difficult not to be a regular starter.

He said: “Niko is not happy with the situation at Tottenham at the moment. He wants to play. It is a shame that a man of Niko’s quality is on the bench.

“He is loyal to the club and has a contract but it is difficult for him.

“It can be a problem when a player is not playing. When he is not playing he is not happy. He feels down.

“Niko will meet with the manager in the next seven to 10 days to sort out his future. After this meeting, then we will know what is happening.”

If Kranjcar does decide to leave then there will be no shortage of potential suitors for the playmaker as Aliaj suggests that clubs in both Italy and Spain are interested in securing the player’s services.

He added: “Some clubs in Italy are interested him. Lazio, Roma, Juventus – they are all interested, as well as some teams in Spain and in Germany.

“It’s normal to have teams like these interested in a player with such quality.”
