Ruling Party Set to Approve Candidates List Before Yearend

Luanda — The ruling MPLA party said that it will announce its Electoral Manifesto and approve the composition of the list of the candidates for the elections scheduled for 2012, before the commemoration of its 55th anniversary of its foundation.

This information was released Saturday by the party’s leader, José Eduardo dos Santos, while addressing a closing ceremony of the 4th Extraordinary Congress of MPLA, held from 29 to 30 April.

“I am sure that we are going to elect the best candidates for the party’s goals”, reiterated the MPLA president. The 4th Extraordinary Congress is the starting and arrival point that will lead to the party’s victory in 2012 elections”, underlined the president.

According to José Eduardo dos Santos, who is also the Angolan head of State, there are still political, legislative, administrative and operational tasks that lie ahead, the party will carry out with zeal till the end of the mandate.
