Nairobi — Kenya’s President Kibaki said the killing of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan is an “act of justice” for the victims of the 1998 bombing at the US embassy in Kenya,
“On behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Kenya I commend all those people behind the successful tracking down and killing of Osama bin Laden,” the President said on Monday in a statement to the Press.
“The killing of Osama has taken place nearly thirteen years after the terrorist bombings in Nairobi that led to the death of over two hundred people, in an act believed to have been masterminded by Osama.
Earlier, Prime Minister Raila Odinga said the killing was a major achievement and justice too for Kenyan victims.
He said it was major achievement of the war on terror. “We welcome this,” he noted.
