The United States branch of the opposition Liberty Party (LP) says a recent article by Dr. Abdoulaye Dukule, claiming that NEC Chairman Jimmy Fromoyan was being scapegoated, is unfounded.
The group said the demand for Mr. Fromayan’s replacement was no more related to his relationship with President Sirleaf than it relates to his qualification or tribal origin.
Instead, they say, it relates more to the fact that under his watch, NEC has closed its eyes to the wrongdoings of the ruling Unity Party, indicated that he was incapable of running transparent elections.
