Assistant Attorney General Continues Visit to Huambo

29 April 2011 Luena — The Inspector of the General Attorney's Office, Joaquim Jeteio, Friday, in Luena (Moxico), considered money laundering and terrorism funding as problem that affects many countries all over the world. The lawyer made this statement while speaking at a workshop under the motto "prevention and combat against money laundering and terrorism support" under the legality week, adding that this "problem is affecting, mainly, developing societies". He explained that money laundering is an economic-finance practice aiming to hide the origin of the illicit financial assets or patrimonial goods.

Huambo — The two-day working visit of assistant attorney general, José Manuel Domingos to the central highland Huambo province entered Friday its second day, with the magistrate travelling to the local prison facilities.

Still in the ambit of the visit, the assistant attorney general will present farewell greetings to the provincial governor and assess the visit to the highland region.

Thursday, the first visiting day, José Manuel Domingos met with magistrates of Public Prosecutor’s Office and visited provincial court of Huambo.

The assistant attorney general is expected back to Luanda Friday.
