Nathan Launches Life

GOSPEL artiste Nathan Nyirenda has launched his new album called LIFE with a call to Zambians to make a difference in life while they are still alive.

Nathan, who is the ambassador of the Heart project under the CardiacTrust of Zambia (CTZ) and the Mutima Project of New Zealand, launched his new album in Livingstone at Zambezi Sun Hotel last Sunday during the Easter weekend at which more than 100 Livingstone residents attended.

The new album, which embraces some songs from his previous album Mwe Makufi, talks about the dynamics of life and the need for people to believe in God while they are still alive.

Nathan, who played the keyboard and was backed by three muscians, said Life is a true story hence people should make a different and serve God while they are still alive.

“It is inspiring and heart melting to see all of you having come to support what we are doing. Life is full of ups and downs but when we read the scriptures from the Bible, we are encouraged,” Nathan said.

Southern Province Permanent Secretary Gladys Kristafor, who officially launched Nathan’s album, said art is a gift from God and it should be used wisely.

Ms Kristafor, who bought a CD from Nathan at the cost of K1 million as a way of supporting the gospel artist, said music is an important aspect of worship because it has a sweet aroma.

“We need to worship God through music and singing. Congratulations to Nathan for launching a powerful album,” she said.

She urged Nathan to work closely with the Government through the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services to uplift his career.

Chief Munokalya Mukuni of Kazungula District, who attended Nathan’s album launch, was happy to learn that Sun International Zambia hosted the launch of the new album at no cost.

He assured the Cardiac Trust of Zambia team and its ambassador Nathan that some tour operators in Livingstone would offer them free services because they were doing a noble job.

Sun International Zambia public relations officer Cephas Sinyangwe said his organisation was pleased to be part of the event.

Cardiac Trust of Zambia representative Christopher Kangwa urged Zambians to keep their hearts with all vigilance because inside the heart flows the spring of life.

Kangwa said his organisation is working with the Ministry of Health and the University Teaching Hospital to facilitate heart operations in Zambia.

“Nathan has found it in his heart to contribute, to make a difference, what about you? Fittingly, Nathan is a worthy ambassador of the Heart, a noble cause,” he said.

During the launch, Nathan and his colleagues performed more than 16 songs which comprised new songs as well as old tracks from his previous album Mwe Makufi as the audience applauded.

Each of Nathan’s CDs cost K50, 000 while the DVDs are being sold atK150, 000 each.
