Mogadishu — The transitional federal government of Somalia has repeated its warning against holding demonstrations and politically motivating meetings in the capital Mogadishu.

Abdishakur Sheikh Hassan Farah, Somalia’s interior and home security minister told reporters in Mogadishu said they banned political meetings and rallies against a backdrop of new accounts that Al shabaab plotted terrorist attacks may occur.

He said that when holding rallies, Al shabaab may have infiltrated and commit cruel and terrorist bombings as Al shabaab did before.

The minister called on local residents to respect and abide by the security related calls coming from the Somali transitional federal government.
