While the Ministry of Education was providing enough classrooms and text books to learners, this should go hand-in-hand with enough teachers and equipment to ensure quality education.
Therefore, the fourth National Youth Council (NYC) National Youth Week, to be held at the town of Rundu in Kavango region, will focus on free quality education.
NYC Acting Director Brian Prince told The Namibian that it is one thing to provide free education but, it is another to ensure its quality.
“Providing enough classrooms and textbooks should accompanied by well-trained teachers, enough laboratories and libraries so as to bring about quality education,” said Prince.
He said if learners are provided with quality education, it would allow them to get good jobs.
The NYC National Youth Week will be held at Rundu from 7-30 April. Every year the NYC stages a National Youth Week.
