Reports coming from Italy on Wednesday suggest that Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp could be trying to bring striker Amauri to White Hart Lane in the summer.

The Brazilian-born Italian international is the subject of a number of bids from teams across Europe and the player’s agent, Ernesto Bronzetti, has said that the north London club is one of the interested parties.

“There are at least eight bids for him from Spain, Germany and England where I can reveal Tottenham are interested,” the agent told Tuttosport.

The player has scored seven goals in 11 games at Parma since he arrived on loan from Italian giants Juventus in January and teams from within Serie A are also keeping tabs on the frontman.

Bronzetti continued: “In Italy there are two clubs on him, one from Rome and one from Milan, but I cannot say which.”

Amauri struggled to live up to his £19.5 million price tag at Juventus and lost his place in the first team before being loaned out in the winter transfer window.
