PDP has already protested the result of the area and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to correct the anomaly and declare PDP winner

ADO-EKITI-SATISFIED  with the landslide victory recorded by the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the National and State Assembly polls conducted on Tuesday, Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and other government functionaries celebrated in Ado-Ekiti yesterday.

The governor was joined at the celebration by his deputy, Mrs. Funmilayo Olayinka; his wife, Mrs. Bisi Fayemi; Chief of Staff, Mr. Yemi Adaramodu; senator-elect for Ekiti Central, Mr. Babafemi Ojudu; commissioners, special advisers and other interest groups.

Fayemi said ACN’s victory on Tuesday has proved that he was “the real winner of the 2007 governorship election and not that his administration was a Justice Ayo Salami-imposed government”.

The governor lauded Ekiti people for moving in the direction of the people of the South-West, noting that the victory recorded by the ACN in Oyo and Ogun States is an attestation that the people of the region desired change.
