The Ghana Football Association wants to remain tactful as calls for the dismissal of local coaches grows incessantly.
Local coaches have failed with home-based national team, Under-23 team in the Olympic Games qualifiers and national Under-17 team.
The women national team were also knocked out of the Olympic Games qualifiers and Orlando Wellington led the African Under-20 team to crash out at the ongoing championship.
Calls for their outer dismissals have been unremitting but the Ghana FA does not want to be drawn into the debate by insisting they will not press the panic button.
“Why should we sack Duncan, Herbert or Orlando so quickly without understanding the root cause of what really happened? You don’t just start taking decision because you want to move with the wind,” FA Vice-President Fred Pappoe said
“It has happened in the past and this FA will not fall into the trap. Nobody is satisfied with the performance of the national teams but we don’t want to start pressing the panic button.”
The under-fire coaches met with the FA on Tuesday in a crisis meeting to unravel the mystery of the country’s poor showing at international tournaments.
