Although Vodafone’s ‘Icon: Divas Edition’ came to a successful end over the weekend, all was not smooth at the grand finale when the producers of the reality TV show offended some sensibility by playing a music video mixed with graphic pornographic imageries at the auditorium.
Although there was loud music and dancing in the auditorium, the guests that were seated and waiting for the show to commence observed with shock when suddenly the series of music videos that was being shown on the screens turned pornographic. The video was a special video mix for Nigerian singer Flavour Nabania’s hit song, ‘Ashawo’. It featured cuts from his music video and nude scenes from porn movies revealing big busted women shaking and playing with their boobs. After a few of the lewd scenes, the producers noticed the blunder and quickly stopped the video from continuing.
So who is to blame for the blunder? Is it Vodafone, the producers of the reality TV show or their partners, Storm 360? Judging by the fact that the DVD that was playing on the night was full of Nigerian music videos, it is perhaps easy to speculate that the people responsible for the videos were Nigerian production company, Storm 360.
