The Serie A table-toppers struggled to find the net but a single Robinho strike after 82 minutes of play eventually proved to be enough for a 1-0 win, to open an eight-point gap at the summit.

Seedorf then went on to praise match-winner Robinho following his crucial strike.
“Robinho has not only scored a very important goal, but he also put in a good performance. He gets a lot of criticism, because he doesn’t always converts his chances, but he scored a very important goal for us.”
Milan have collected 74 points from 34 games, and are clear of Inter with just four league matches remaining.
