Hon Bedzra noted that the NDC government, with just a little over two years in power has been able to stabilize the economy and has also distinguished itself in monumental infrastructural development, including rural electrification that is currently underway. The MP made the assertion during an interaction with his constituents as part of his one month tour of the constituency to sensitize them on the progress of the Better Ghana agenda that the NDC promised during the 2008 elections.
Hon Bedzra said the Better Ghana agenda, among other things is aimed at creating equal opportunities for everyone and an enabling environment for businesses to spring up to reduce the unemployment rate in the country. He said the NDC is a social democratic party which is poised to make social amenities accessible to the citizenry devoid of discrimination. He disclosed that the President Mills led government is committed to getting electricity power supply to every hamlet within the shortest possible time, which the NPP could not do in their eight years in government.
The MP noted that the electricity project when completed will enable workers to accept posting in any part of the country to serve the people. Hon. Bedzra, who has won the admiration of many people, even outside his constituency for his hard work and good human relations, has urged the Ghanaian electorate not to make the mistake by bringing the NPP back to power, stating “that will be the worse that will happen to Ghana”.
He said the wind of peace that is currently blowing in every corner of the country alone is enough for Ghanaians to renew the mandate of the NDC to restore the hope of the people. The NDC MP, who is serving his first term in Parliament, is confident that the government will surely overcome the challenge that it is currently faced with, regarding the killing of the Overlord of Dagbon, Ya Na Yakubu Andani II.
