25 April 2011 Capanda — The Minister of Water and Energy, Emanuela Vieira Lopes, is working on Monday in Capanda locality in the northern Malanje province, in order to chair the closing ceremony of the training on operation and electro-mechanics maintenance. The minister is leading a delegation that is comprised by national directors and senior employees of her ministry, among other staff of the energy sector. The course, which is promoted by the Office of the Development of the Middle Kwanza (GAMEK), is being attended by 30 people who will work at Ngove dam in the central Huambo province.

Menongue — The World Malaria Day, April 25, will be marked in the south-eastern Kuando-Kubango Province with the distribution of mosquito nets treated with insecticide, ANGOP has learnt.
The beneficiaries are pregnant women, children, as well as population in general, in a strategy that aims at fighting malaria in a continuous way.
Malaria is one of the main human killers in Angola, mainly among children.
