Blackburn boss Steve Kean bemoaned decisions which went against his side after the 1-0 loss to Manchester City at Ewood Park.
Rovers were denied a first-half penalty after Jason Roberts fell theatrically having been caught by Vincent Kompany.
Mario Balotelli was then active for Edin Dzeko’s goal and may have obscured Paul Robinson’s view after coming back from an offside position as the Bosnian struck the ball, although the Blackburn goalkeeper did not protest at the time.
Kean also thought Rovers had a late penalty shout concerning Niko Kalinic but nothing was given.
The Blackburn boss told Sky Sports 1: “There was contact (for the first-half penalty appeal), Jason was saying he wanted to go through and finish.
“We feel as a group if we play like that against Bolton on Saturday we can get a win, never mind a draw.”

Bitterly disappointed
The defeat leaves Rovers one point – and two places – above the Premier League drop zone and Kean was upset to not get more from the game.
He said: “We’re bitterly disappointed, we gave it a right go.
“After the first 15 minutes we got to grips in midfield and were in the ascendancy before half-time. Even in the second half we were excellent.”

Nevertheless, Kean remains confident of top-flight survival, as he said: “We feel as a group if we play like that against Bolton on Saturday we can get a win, never mind a draw.
“We’re gutted we didn’t get anything tonight but if we play like that, we’ve got a great chance.”
