Manchester City are believed to be interested in acquiring the services of Everton full-back Leighton Baines.

The 26-year-old has put in strong performances over the course of the season, and has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park in the past.

Now with Wayne Bridge having gone out on loan to West Ham United, it is thought that the Eastlands outfit are keen on bringing in a left-back to help solve their problems in that position.

And The News of the World reports that City want to add Baines to their squad, while the Merseysiders are believed to have set a £15 million asking price on their player.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have previously been linked with possible moves for Baines.
