Harry Redknapp is hopeful Tottenham Hotspur can still finish fourth and qualify for the Champions League.
Spurs beat Manchester City in the latter stages of the previous campaign to finish in the top four.
And having reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season – where they were beaten by Real Madrid – the Spurs boss now hopes of achieving another outing in Europe, but admits that finishing in the top four will be difficult after the recent 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion.
The result sees the north London outfit trailing fourth-placed Manchester City by one point, albeit having played a game more than the Eastlands club.
“It’s going to be difficult but it’s still all to play for,” Redknapp said, according to The Sun.
“I find it hard that now everyone expects us to be in the Champions League.
“Tottenham had never been in it before until this season and suddenly it is like ‘we have to be in the Champions League’.
“Manchester City have gone out and spent God knows what to get above us.
“Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are there every year, Liverpool will be there next year.
“It’s difficult to get fourth. It has been a great season but it’s not over yet.”
