Owen Coyle is happy for Jack Wilshere after the Englishman won PFA Young Player of the Year this week, but he won’t be celebrating for him just yet.

The Scotsman is far more concerned with Bolton reversing their last result – a 5-0 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Stoke – when Arsenal arrive at the Reebok Sunday.

But the manager is still proud of the young Englishman who spent a half-season on loan at Bolton last season before starring for the Gunners this term.

“Jack will arrive here on the back of winning his Young Player of the Year award, which has been well earned,” Coyle told Bolton’s official website.

“We are all delighted for him because we helped to give him the platform from which he has continued his development.

“Arsenal have got England’s brightest prospect in Jack, and week in week out he has shown the quality that he has got.

“But out with his qualities as a footballer, he is an outstanding young man and somebody who we have got a lot of time for.”

But Coyle insists any handshakes will be saved until after he match and has eyed his former loan acquisition as a danger man.

“However, for the duration of Sunday’s match, we will be doing everything to win the three points and stop him showing his quality,” the Bolton boss said.

“Jack knows the quality of players that we have and he knows how they work.

“It will be great to see him but that will be for after the game because during the 90 minutes we will be going all out to make sure that there is a win for Bolton Wanderers.”
