Luanda — Recreativo do Libolo will this Friday defend the leadership of the national first division football championship (Girabola) at the home field of Benfica de Luanda, at the opening of the sixth round of the competition.
The encounter is set for 06pm at Coqueiros stadium, in the country’s capital of Luanda.
The round will proceed on Saturday when FC de Cabinda will receive Sagrada Esperança, FC Bravos do Maquis will host Santos FC and 1º de Maio will square off against Petro de Luanda.
On Sunday, Recreativo da Caála will face off against Progresso do Sambizanga.
The round will count on two postponed matches on April 27, due to the involvement of two teams (Interclube and 1º de Agosto) in the African competitions.
Following their African commitments, Interclube (titleholders) will host Académica do Lobito and 1º de Agosto will face Académica do Soyo.
Recreativo do Libolo leads the first division with 12 points, whilst FC Bravos do Maquis is at the bottom of the table with two.
