The Teslim Balogun Stadium will be agog with series of soccer action and fanfare as the Lagos sports community converge in a rally on Sunday to honour Lagos governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola.
The high point of the event tagged “Score With BRF” is a star football match between the All Stars International Football Club, Surulere and the Managers FC of Isolo in which the governor is expected to play.
There will also be series of games involving various street soccer teams and musical entertainment to raise the curtain for the day.
Organisers of the event said it was designed to show appreciation for the commitment and achievements of the governor in sports development in the state and the platform he has provided for youths across the state to express their sporting talents and pursue better life.
A member of the organising committee and Team Manager of 401 Planners of Amuwo Odofin, Prince Edoh, said: “All the teams that have participated in street soccer since its inception till date, together with their street fans and friends are all converging for the event.”
