The night of activation is what Airtel called the eve of the annual Kuomboka ceremony whose trade mark colour red painted the Mongu town coinciding well with the Airtel brand.

Well thought through and researched perhaps by Airtel on the artistes who would cut across regions with their somewhat well-liked music, it was General Ozzy and Mozegator and his stage breaking Mimbulu boys who were on the plate of offer for the night at Oasis night club.

Tracks such as Kobili, Take My heart, Chino Chalo filled the air as General Ozzy took charge of the stage. Truth be told, Ozzy has a

way of alluring his fans with his music such that the fans could not just sit back but take to the platform to dance along. It was a priceless moment to see how fans of different racial and cultural back-grounds, blended it well on the dance floor, as if to

suggest there was a million dollars up for grabs for the best dancers. Then Mozegator and his stage-breakers crew had their fair share of the show just as if stealing away the sweet impression left behind by Ozzy.

His style of music is just something to write about because it has that special appeal more especially to the Zambia national soccer team

fans- busitele music, they would call it. This was yet another good platform for Mozegator to unleash some of his latest hits from his new release.

As it was Airtel night, few on the occasions, well branded DJ’s and the MC for the night, would ask a few questions about Airtel, and those with matching answers also won airtime, and other prizes.

The activation night which began as early as 20:00 hrs, went on till the early hours of the morning, leaving patrons with only a few hours to prepare for what brought most of them to Mongu for the Kuomboka.

However, the conventional entertainment on the activation night was not the only form of entertainment that visitors to Mongu were

subjected to. A number of traditional dances such as Siomboka, Ngomalume, Kandende and Kayoyo, were performed by men and women at Limulunga, who entertained hundreds of spectators.
