As the football season nears its end, fans will soon be looking back at the 2010/2011 campaign still cursing refereeing decisions, agonising over missed chances late on and replaying every moment over and over until its time to do it all again in August.

Outstanding Barcelona batter Real Madrid 5-0 in Clasico

“The first game of the season between Real Madrid and Barcelona was one of the best club games I’ve ever seen. The football from Barcelona was from another planet, just amazing. Ricardo Carvalho was made to look like a pub team player! That was a classic game.”
Birmingham shock Arsenal to become League Cup kings

“The Carling Cup final performance from Birmingham City was just incredible. The way that they played when nobody had given them a chance was really unforgettable. Their winning goal was quite fortunate but they’d been playing reasonably well until then and it was just great to see.”

“The 1-1 draw between Arsenal and Liverpool was an incredible end to a game. I couldn’t see where the goals were going to come from so to get two in a minute was absolutely incredible. Arsenal have got to kick themselves, they’ve had so many opportunities and they’ve failed to take them.”
Five-star Stoke hammer Bolton to reach first FA Cup final

“The performance of Stoke City against Bolton was absolutely terrific, scoring five goals. I don’t think anybody expected it so it was fantastic.”
Gareth Bale announces himself to Europe with San Siro hat-trick

“Bale’s performance at the San Siro was something really special and it has led to him being named as PFA Player of the Season I think. He was flying that night and he’s an absolutely outstanding young footballer that is only going to get better as he gets older.”
Noisy neighbours City end United’s treble dream in FA Cup semi

“Seeing Manchester City beat Manchester United against all odds was another moment. Nobody really fancied them to do it and the way they performed was great.”
