Sagna: Gunners have stumbled in their tilt bid
Bacary Sagna admits recent draws have cost Arsenal dear and mean they cannot afford any more slip-ups.
The Gunners have seen their Premier League title tilt severely dented by a run of disappointing stalemates.
They saw a 3-1 lead slip through their grasp against arch-rivals Tottenham on Wednesday to leave White Hart Lane with a point, while last weekend they were held 1-1 by Liverpool in a dramatic encounter at Emirates Stadium.
Arsene Wenger’s side have also failed to see off Sunderland and Blackburn over recent weeks, allowing Manchester United to pull clear at the summit.
In fact, the Gunners now sit third in the table, with in-form Chelsea having overtaken them in midweek.
Sagna acknowledges that Arsenal have shot themselves in the foot, when things were going so well, and believes they need to win all five of their remaining fixtures to stand any chance of claiming the top flight crown.
He said: “We’ve drawn five of the last six games. Especially at home, we have dropped many points.
Frustrating
“From now on we need to look forward and we must not drop any more points.
“We have to play Manchester United and we have to win. They will have some hard games coming up and it is down to us if we want to win something.
“We know we have to win our last games.

“To score three goals away from home against Spurs is not bad but we conceded some goals against a good team.
“It’s frustrating because we gave everything against Spurs. We played our own game, something we hadn’t done for a long time.
“We saw the real Arsenal. We just need to keep looking forward now.”
