“They’ve had such a wonderful season. We’ve had a disappointing season but there are two games to play and the players want to give everything now before their well-earned rest.

“We want more than 32 points. We got that last year, and we want to get more than that to show improvement.

“It’s our last home game, Charlie Hodgson’s last home game, and that in itself will make it a special occasion.”

Exeter Chiefs assistant coach Ali Hepher told BBC Radio Devon:

“We’ve had a tough run of fixtures, three away fixtures plus Saracens, who could go on and win the Premiership, so they were always four tough fixtures and we came up short.

“We’re very confident at the minute the guys have had a good training week and they’re excited about this weekend.

“It’ll be important that we focus on the details that make up to a good performance and that’s what we’re focused on now.”
