Luanda — The National Civil Aviation Institute (INAVIC) has suspended the operations of airlines Angola Air Services, Gira Globo, Mavewa, Air Nave, Guicango and Diexim.

The information is contained in a communiqué issued by INAVIC, made available to Angop on Wednesday, in Luanda, that adds that the suspension is due to the fact of non-completion of their technical certification process on time.

The National Institute of Civil Aviation is an organizational structure designed to administer all civil aviation activities in Angola.

Under the Ministry of Transport, the Institute aims at social coordination, guidance, control, supervision, licensing and regulation of all activities related to civil aviation developed in Angola or in the airspace under its jurisdiction.
