As a player Steve Bull had plenty to shout about, representing England whilst still a Third Division striker and becoming Wolverhampton Wanderers’ all time leading goalscorer, to name just a few of his achievements. Now as a pundit and ambassador for Goal.com’s betting partner Sportingbet, ‘Bully’ will be having his say on the weekend’s action from the Premier League.

Over to you Bully…

Champions League Dreaming
Much as I’m focused on the Premier League this weekend as Wolves get back into the action against Fulham, I can’t help but have half an eye on next week’s Champions League semi-finals.

I’m going to be glued to the TV to watch Real Madrid v Barcelona because it’s mouthwatering stuff. I think the game could be the best of the year and I see Barcelona coming through the tie and going on to win the final.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait!

Good luck this weekend,

On Man United’s treble disappointment…
It just proves at the moment that Man United are beatable. I thought it was a cracking game to watch with quite a few incidents that could have turned it, but City stuck to their guns and got the result they wanted.

United will be a bit wounded after that game and Sir Alex Ferguson will want them to win the double, although even the league isn’t a foregone conclusion just yet. You wouldn’t want to underestimate Schalke either, because they’ve got some great players and won’t lie down.

On Cesc Fabregas’ Arsenal comments…
Players get frustrated when certain things happen at their clubs and he’s voiced his opinion by saying Arsenal lack maturity. He’s a world-class player, absolutely superb, and I think he wants better than what he’s getting at the Emirates.

I think he wants more silverware, more trophies for the cabinet, and I don’t think he’ll get that at Arsenal to be honest. It’s unbelievable how much young talent Arsenal are bringing through but in my eyes it’s down to the chairman to help them bring in some success sooner rather than later.

Man United 3-0 Everton
Man United are quite simply unstoppable at home so despite Everton’s improved form of late, I can’t see them even getting on the scoresheet here. A comfortable 3-0 home win to edge them closer to the title looks a bet at 17/2 and Man United-Man United in the Double Result market is a banker at 19/20.

Blackpool 0-1 Newcastle
I might just be the only one predicting a dearth of goals in this game but I’m sticking to my guns, as I think Newcastle will edge out Blackpool 1-0 as the Tangerines slide towards relegation. You can get 9/1 for that in the Correct Score market and a further 11/2 by backing Peter Lovenkrands to score the first and only goal.

Wolves 2-1 Fulham
I’ve got a gut feeling this game is going to finish 2-1 but to which side I can’t be entirely sure. Just got to go with Wolves though haven’t I – so I’m backing the 17/2 on Mick’s men to come up trumps! Of the goalscorers I like Matt Jarvis at any time, which pays 21/5, because you can always rely on him for a good performance.

Aston Villa 2-1 Stoke
Stoke would have used up a lot of energy last weekend and with the FA Cup a distraction, I can see Villa sneaking a victory with a 2-1 win (15/2). Gabriel Agbonlahor is due a goal too so I’ll be putting a little cash on him to get on the scoresheet at some point in this game (9/5).

Tottenham 3-1 West Brom
Spurs still have a great chance to finish in the top four but a home win over West Brom is a must if they’re to beat Man City to that Champions League place. Depending on Harry Redknapp picks I might have a bet on Roman Pavlyuchenko to score first at 9/2, with a 3-1 win for his side my Correct Score tip at 11/1.

Sunderland 1-2 Wigan
Wigan will be on a high after winning at Blackpool last weekend and they face another team in freefall this weekend. Sunderland haven’t won in a long time and it becomes a habit, so I think it’s safe to back the visitors at 11/1 for a 2-1 victory. Draw-Wigan in the half-time/full-time Double Result could also be a value bet at 13/2.

Liverpool 3-1 Birmingham
Liverpool have pulled off two good results recently and at Anfield, I always think they’re a team worth getting behind. This one looks a foregone conclusion to me so I’ll go 3-1 at 11/1 with Raul Meireles also worth a look at 12/5 to score at any time.

Chelsea 4-1 West Ham
West Ham have returned to type recently after another home defeat last weekend, so quite simply they have no chance at Stamford Bridge! Frank Lampard is bound to hit the net against his old club but considering I’m going for the 16/1 for 4-1 Chelsea, I’d best bet on the 4/5 for an any time goal rather than 100/30 for the opener!

Bolton 2-2 Arsenal
Arsenal fans won’t like me for saying it but I’m expecting another tough weekend for them. Bolton has been a tough place to go all season and they need to bounce back from that FA Cup humiliation, so I think they’ll grab a point in a 2-2 draw (12/1) with Kevin Davies getting at least one of the goals (3/1).

Blackburn 0-3 Manchester City
I’ll be only too happy to see Blackburn’s struggles continue against Man City on Monday night. City will have the Champions League places in mind now they have beaten United in the FA Cup so a comprehensive 3-0 win at 18/1, as well as Yaya Toure to get another important goal at 13/5, appeals to me.
