DBG Establishes Houses for IDPs in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — Daryeel Bulsho Guud (DPG) on Thursday displayed newly established houses made of corrugated iron in Parts of Mogadishu.

Omar Olad Ahmed, the director of DBG told dreporters in Mogadishu that they built uo around 200 houses destined for internally displaced people to live in and make shelter from the heat of the sun and cool of the rains.

Mr. Ahmed also spelled out that they have done the implementation of water system in the areas they built up new houses for IDPs.

The remnants of torn down houses made of old cloths and plastics could seen near the newly built houses for the internally displaced people.

The displaced people in Mogadishu have warmly welcomed the move describing it as a step forward that could help them live in better life than they had there. But, there are other people haven’t got the houses since it was the first time DBG to do such move.

20 of the houses intended for disabled people in Say Biyano neighborhood of Mogadishu’s Hodan district.

The chairman of disabled people in the area, Mohamoud Hassan Afrah said that he is very pleased with DBG’s help and grateful for the organization.

He said they are consisted of 150 families and have already imparted an application for DBG to build shelters to lead in., pointing out DBG has accepted and fulfilled its commitments.
