A couple of weeks ago I revealed that fast growing Ghanaian-born actor, Kwesi Boakye would be playing the son of hiphop mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs as a guest star in the 21st episode of Hawaii Five-0. American viewers got to see the episode on Monday evening on CBS, and according to John M. Guilfoil’s review on blastmagazine.com, little Kwesi was impressive.
Guilfoil described Diddy’s role as an undercover NYPD detective hunting down an organized crime boss as emotional and convincing, adding that the hiphop mogul showed attitude and angst and looked more like an actor than a rapper.
“The episode had a good plot, as Combs was undercover police officer who has worked to earn the trust of a New York black organized crime boss. Combs was good, and young up-and-comer Kwesi Boakye was amazing, playing Combs frightened-yet-brave young son.”
Kwesi is certainly buzzing in Hollywood. To catch up on what the rising actor is up to, can join his fan page on Facebook or follow him on Twitter @kwesiboakye. Depending on your location, you can watch this behind the scenes footage on the Hawaii Five-0 episode. <<
