There are 16 teams left in the African Champions League

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has decided on the venues for the Champions League third round ties involving Libya’s Al Ittihad and Ivory Coast’s Asec Mimosas.

It was originally thought Caf would try and find neutral venues for the games that have been reduced to just one leg due to the civil unrest in Libya and Ivory Coast.

Instead Al Ittihad will travel to Nigeria to play Enyimba on their home ground in Aba and Raja Casablanca will host their game against Asec in Morocco.

Both matches will take place on the weekend of 6-8 May, the date set aside for the second leg matches in the third round.

Asec made it through to the final knockout stage of the tournament after a one-legged tie in the second round where they beat hosts Motor Action of Zimbabwe on penalties after the two sides drew 0-0.

Ittihad advanced after JC Treichville of Ivory Coast withdrew from the competition, since the Ivorians were unable to travel to Mali for the one-off match.

That game had been moved to Bamako because of the civil unrest in both countries.

Meanwhile Coton Sport have had their first leg match with Entente Setif of Algeria postponed until 7 May, because the Cameroonian side have four players at the ongoing African Youth Championships in South Africa.

The first leg games for the other third round matches will be played on the weekend of 22-24 April.
