Luanda — The Ministry of Culture, through the Child Bood Fair Organising Commission, Thursday in Luanda, urged its provincial departments to hold book fairs locally, as a means to enhancing national identity.
This was said by the coordinator of Organising Commission, António Fonseca, during a press conference.
The official assured that the Commission is ready to promote trip of authors to launch works, award national catalogue titles of the cultural industries and play a facilitating role if necessary.
To him, the event that started in 1980s and resumed four years ago, is intended to promote book and encourage reading.
According to him, this years edition of the fair is bringing seven new works.
In Luanda the event is scheduled to take place from June 23-26.
