Tottenham have announced pre-tax profits of £4.2 million during the last six months of 2010, due to their extended involvement in the Champions League.
Over the same period last year, Spurs made a loss of £6.1m, which highlights the importance for Harry Redknapp’s side to obtain fourth spot once again in the Premier League.
Spurs also announced that their turnover had increased 49% to £79m.
Redknapp’s men are set for a quarter-final clash with Real Madrid next month in the Champions League.
“Our first-half figures reflect a strong performance, buoyed by the contribution from our participation in the Uefa Champions League,” read a statement by the club’s chairman, Daniel Levy.
