Future Manchester United Brazilian stars starting European football at FC Twente – report

Several of Manchester United‘s potential future Brazilian prospects are reported to have begun featuring for affiliated Dutch side FC Twente.

The talented 16-year-old strker Aguilar and two other youngsters featured for the Dutch club in a friendly on Thursday, a 5-1 victory over AGOVV/Apeldoorn, the Daily Mail reported.

Six players in total from the Brazilian youth club Desportivo Brasil traveled to Twente on trials under the partnership Manchester United has with the two clubs.

The paper claims United intend to sign any successful youngsters from the feeder system once they gain European Union passports after a few years in Holland.

The youngsters are represented by Brazilian management company Traffic throughout their journey from Brazil youth teams, onto Holland, and ultimately perhaps to Old Trafford.

“Twente are a partner, helping United to resolve the problem of their EU passports,”
Jochen Losch, president of international business for Traffic, said.

“For two reasons it’s good that a player goes first to Holland. First, after two or three years he’s considered to be European.

“And of course it’s easier to play in the Dutch league than the Premier League.”
