Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero is convinced that coach Jose Mourinho will stay with the club for years to come.
‘The Special One’ turned some heads on Wednesday when he revealed that his next job will be in England as he has unfinished business in the Premier League.
However the 23-year-old believes that the former Chelsea boss is content with life at the Santiago Bernabeu and will lead the club to future glory.
“We are convinced that Mourinho will stay and we all want that,” he said during a press conference after Thursday’s training session.
“We want our coach to stay and he’s happy here. I’m sure he’ll remain with the team for a long time as the coming years promise to be successful ones.”
Granero went on to speak about facing arch-rivals Barcelona twice within three days in April, saying: “The calendar reads that we will play two Clasicos in less than a week and it’s our duty to do our best to win the games.
“They will be decisive matches in regards to the outcome of two important competitions. It could prove to be an important time to turn things around. It is nevertheless too soon to talk about that because we have some crucial matches before we meet Barcelona.”
Real Madrid will lock horns with Barca in La Liga on April 17 before facing the Blaugrana three days later in the Copa Del Rey final.
