The Super Eagles trained under floodlight at the mainbowl of the National Stadium, Abuja Wednesday ahead of Sunday’s Nations Cup qualifier at the same venue.
Training commenced at 7pm, the same time Sunday’s clash with the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia will start, hopefully in front of a full house.
Twenty one of the 22 invited players participated in the training session, including Norway-based duo of Solomon Okoronkwo and Fengor Ogwude, who arrived the team’s Transcorp Hilton hotel camp on Tuesday night.
However, forward Osaze Odemwingie could not train after doctors confirmed that he has a torn muscle.
“We did scan for him today (Wednesday) and discovered he had a torn muscle. He is working out in the gym and doing light walk-around but we would assess him further on Thursday and Friday,” said team doctor, Ibrahim Gyaran.
