Kwara State Governor Bukola Saraki yesterday explained that he chose Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed as his successor to ensure equity, justice and fairness.
He urged the people of Kwara South to see the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) victory as their project.
Saraki spoke at the palace of the Olosi of Osi, Oba Abdulkareem Adasofegbe, during PDP’s campaign rally in Ekiti Local Government.
He said they should see the election that produced Ahmed as a collective project in the bid to transform the state.
The governor said PDP adopted the zoning system to ensure there was equity, fairness and justice in the three senatorial districts.
He told the people to vote and return all PDP candidates in the election.
The Olosi hailed the governor for the projects and political appointments in Ekiti.
He appealed for the upgrading of the Olosi stool to a first class status.
Saraki promised the Olosi he would soon grade and upgrade more rulers.
Also speaking, Senator Simeon Ajibola and other notable indigenes assured the governor that thay would vote for PDP.
The campaign train also visited Obbo-Aiyegunle, Isapa, Koro, Eruku, Obbo-Ile, Epe-Opin and Ikerin-Opin.
