Udinese are in no hurry to negotiate the sale of exciting attacker Alexis Sanchez, despite the player being continually linked with a summer move away from the club, says president Giampaolo Pozzo.
Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked while Inter, Manchester City, Juventus are the latest clubs thought to be considering a move for the Chilean international.
However, Udinese supremo Pozzo insists his club are eager to maintain the services of the 22-year-old for another season.
“We will try to keep him Sanchez here for another year,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss.
A sale is less likely if the club qualifies for the Champions League next season, although Pozzo is aware that making the top four in Serie A will not be easy.
He added: “I would be happy with fourth place. I am happy with the play of the team. We have good chances to finish in the position we are in, but it’s going to be difficult.”
