CAPTAIN of Kaduna United, Emmanuel Bivan, has remarkably recovered from an injury he sustained in time for their first round, first leg clash against Chadian club, Foullah Edifice in the Orange CAF Confederation Cup.
Bivan sustained a waist injury in his side’s last game in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) against Warri Wolves at the Kaduna Township Stadium.
The player had to see a doctor over the injury last week.
A check carried out on the injured player by the doctor revealed that he suffered from excessive heat from the waist injury.
But Bivan declared himself fit when he spoke to SuperSport.com on Saturday from Kaduna.
“I have returned to training with the team after seeing the doctor. I feel a lot better now and I am ready to play for my team again against our Chadian opponent in the Confederation Cup,” Bivan said.
The Kaduna United skipper is confident that Nigerian FA Cup holders are capable of getting a comfortable result in Kaduna ahead of the second leg in a fortnight.
“Our aim is to win with a very comfortable scoreline. We know we can win this game but winning well will make the second leg very, very comfortable for us.
“We will not underrate our opponents because we don’t know much about them. They will come here to play for a result and we will be determined to start our campaign on the continent on very good note,” said Bivan.
