There will be no place for cheats in this year’s Corporate League, according to organisers.
The event that brings together employees from several corporate companies to compete in football, volleyball, netball, pool, athletics, swimming and table tennis, gets underway on March 27.
Corporate League chairman Sam Tumuhimbise said some companies, who fielded none-employees as a way of achieving success in previous events would be dealt with severely this time round.
“We have put in place tough measures,” Tumuhimbise said while launching the league recently. “This is not a competition for experts. It’s about the corporate having fun while exercising and enjoying the sport.” Tumuhimbise also noted that some companies which had pulled out have since returned. This year, golf has been included on the competition calendar.
Coca-Cola are the defending champions.
