Jos — Two people, believed to be Muslim youths, are feared dead Sunday following the detonation of an explosive device that went off in their hands. They were reportedly on their way to plant the explosive device at ECWA Church in Nassarawa area of Jos, Plateau State.

Although the military Special Task Force (STF), the Police and the state government are yet to give any official statement on the incident and the casualty figure, the sketchy information available has it that the youths were on their way to plant the explosive near the church when they ran out of time and the explosive device detonated injuring many others.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up in the area to prevent any escalation of the situation.
