The Kwara State Peoples Damocratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Alhaji Abdul Fatah Ahmed, yesterday, pleaded with Dr Olusola Saraki to support him in next month’s election.

Despite the seeming political difference between the PDP and the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Ahmed described Dr Saraki as the father of politicians in the state.

Speaking yesterday at the Civic Centre in Lagos, during an interactive session organised by indigenes, Ahmed said “Oloye is our father, we cannot deny that. We are only appealing to our Baba to give us support. We are going to make him happy and ensure that we take Kwara to his land of hope.

“By the time we spend four years in office, Oloye will wish that we continue forever.”

The Senator representing Kwara South at the National Assembly, Ajadi Makanjuola, described Abdulfatah as an honourable man.

He said: “The people have said Abdulfatah Ahmed is a good candidate and they will work for his victory next month.’’

The session attracted notables such as Deputy Governor Elder Joel Afolabi Ogundeji, who represented Governor Bukola Saraki, Prof. Oba Abdulraheem, first governor of Kwara State, Gen. David Bamigboye, Speaker Babatunde Mohammed, Chairman Kwara PDP, Yusuf Aiyedun and others.
