ADO-EKITI – The former Governor of Ekiti State and the Labour Party, LP, candidate for Ekiti Central Senatorial district in April general elections, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has said he was not aware of any court injunction barring him from contesting the election, saying he would shame his opponents by winning convincingly.
A retired military officer, Major Olufemi Awe had filed an injuntion in an Ado-Ekiti High Court, alleging that the former governor had supplied a wrong information in the forms submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. The retired military officer asked the court to bar Fayose from contesting the election.
Fayose who was reacting to the allegation weekend, while featuring on a live programme of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, (Progress FM), denied any knowledge of court injunction, saying nobody has served him any court papers.
